Social Media Account Manager
Job Type: Contract, Full-time
Reports To: Managing Partner
Location: Vancouver, BC
Hours: 40h/week, flexible (primarily 9-5 with some events on nights and weekends)
Your Primary Goal
Manage the social media accounts of over a dozen leading hospitality brands, real estate and lifestyle clients across the Lower Mainland. This includes capturing and curating Facebook, Instagram and tik tok content, developing campaigns, and contributing to the overall growth of our up-and-coming boutique PR agency.
Your Responsibilities
Account Management (35% of role)

Contribute to clients’ overall branding and marketing strategy

Plan and schedule social media content

Develop and execute campaigns, contests, and influencer engagements that drive awareness and sales
Content Creation (45% of role)
-
Work with photographers to capture high quality videos and photos at client locations and in-person events

Edit and post photos using your cell, mobile editing tools and native social media apps

Create and post instagram reels and tik tok videos using your cell and native social media apps
-
Write original social media captions and other marketing copy
Community Management (10% of role)

Engage followers, repost stories and leverage user-generated content to grow social media following
Admin (5% of role)

File and manage all client social media assets

Support reporting and other admin duties for clients as needed
Internal Branding (5%)

Manage the agency’s social media pages to promote the businesses portfolio and attract new clients
About You
Must Haves
-
1-2 years experience working in social media
-
Hardworking, results-oriented, and takes initiative to solve problems

Great customer service and communication skills both verbally and in writing

Ambitious and entrepreneurial—looking to grow the company, build their resume, get promoted, and be a industry leader

Creative with a passion for creating beautiful, eye-catching content

Interest in Vancouver’s hospitality, restaurants and nightlife scene
Nice to Haves

Educational background in marketing, branding, business, digital media or related fields

Strong relationship-building skills across different types of people—bosses, team members, creatives, partners and clients

Experience with social media or marketing analytics and reporting
Work Environment
Remote with weekly in-person meetings and regular visits to clients for shoots and events (note: training to be held in person)

Since then, she has honed her craft working with notable hospitality brands; including, Parq Vancouver (Honey Salt, The Victor, BC Kitchen, and D6), Honey Salt Las Vegas, The Flying Pig, WildTale, and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe (Nevada) among others. Tara is a lover of all things food, wine, and travel, and can often be found in restaurant hotspots, cooking stores, at social events, or scrolling through blogs researching which country to go eat in next.
MICHELLE LAN
A savvy, vibrant and energetic PR professional, Michelle began her career in 2007 as a Communications Assistant for the prestigious TopTable Restaurant Group. Since then, she has built a strong specialty in media outreach and special events for fashion, lifestyle and hospitality clients. Michelle has a passion for uniting digital media tactics with conventional public relations campaigns. She strategically positions clients’ goals by targeting the audience engagement via all digital media channels. Over the years, Michelle has had the privilege to work with major industry players including Gap Inc., Joe Fresh, Hy’s Canada, Sequoia Company of Restaurants, Sake Institute of Ontario and many more. Often out on the social scene, Michelle is a lover of wine and is a self-professed ‘foodie’ with a wealth of information on city happenings and hottest restaurants.
